Pictures: Shirts I took pictures of – featuring fun shirt facts!

So, I wanted to work on a little product photography, since today is an “off” day for me, I decided I’d take pictures of all the (screenprinted) t-shirts I currently am working with.

Here’s some fun facts:

  • There’s 35 of them, versus 13 not-screenprinted tees I own.
  • I’m down to zero tees purchased via thrift store
  • 9 from shirt.woot!
  • 2 from teefury
  • 3 from threadless
  • 2 direct video game references
  • 3 from webcomics (2 Megatokyo, 1 PvP)
  • 2 Star Wars references
  • 2 Temple University, 1 Northeast High School (I graduated 9 years ago), 0 CCP
  • 9 are too small for comfort
  • 2 are too large for comfort
  • 5 branded (2 Hurley, 1 Nautica, 1 DC Shoes, 1 Element)
  • 1 shirt was for free (Apple Student Developer)

    Colors

  • 10 Grey
  • 7 Red
  • 4 Light/Bright Blue
  • 4 Dark Blue/Navy Blue
  • 2 Brown
  • 1 Maroon
  • 1 Yellow

  • College is hard, yo.

Anyways, here’s a picture I took outside my office on a (not very) rare goofing off break.

    tough math class today!

Math class is always tough when you hit the AQTC combo in the same hallway in Rogue.

School’s almost out – uncork some new pictures!

here’s a sneak preview of the Spring 2010 photoset:

and before you ask, yes, I was watching Quincy, ME while playing with my camera.

Instead of finishing this paper: Coffee Filter Flash Diffusion Photography!

I wanted to show Internet how cool I was for buying this vintage clock radio, which is half-broken. I don’t know what I don’t know about taking pictures of things in the dark that have screens, but you need and hate using your flash.

Now, that doesn’t convey the awesome that is me. Without flash, it was an overexposed piece of crap. Oh, what to do? Then I remembered that some guy was doing portrait photography by using a coffee filter as a ghetto flash diffusion unit. Some tikcering with the clock later (I really wanted it to work!) I ended up with this:

Mucho improved, right? You can tell it has separate volume controls for the left and right channel! Kick ass!

    Cargo pants: not an option.

Now that I have a DSLR, I can take pictures of my desk mess with close-up objects much sharper than objects in the background, as opposed to the whole thing being kinda blurry.

    Yup.
